Wool Dryer Balls are a great tool to have for laundry day, helping your clothing dry faster while replacing dryer sheets and fabric softener. Additionally, they help reduce electricity usage, soften clothes, and preserve the lifespan of your clothing. Considering that dryers are one of the most energy-consuming appliances in the home, reducing their energy use is a huge way to decrease your carbon footprint. Tested to last for 1000+ loads, these dryer balls are well worth the investment!

Handmade in California by a family-run farm who truly care about their alpacas, the alpacas are sheared yearly by a professional team, and the raw wool is hand washed and felted, with no harsh chemicals, perfumes, or dyes ever being used. Each ball is a blend of wool from multiple alpacas, providing the beautiful variation in color and the marbles effect! Additionally, alpaca wool is free of lanolin, making it hypoallergenic and great for those with sensitivities to sheep’s wool.

Alpaca wool naturally varies in color from animal to animal, and each dryer ball is handmade from a combination of alpaca’s wool. Some are solid in color, while others are beautifully marbled together for a two-toned look. Each set comes with a variety of dryer ball colors, no specific requests for colors will be able to be filled at this time.

How to Use

Simple Ecology recommends using 3 dryer balls for small and medium laundry loads and up to 6 dryer balls for larger loads. For a fresh scent, place 2 to 3 drops of your desired essential oils onto each ball, allowing them to sit for 10 minutes before being placed into the dryer. As static cling is often caused by over drying clothes, reduce your drying time by 5-10 minutes, clothes should be barely damp when removed to avoid static.

Care Instructions

Wool dryer balls can be washed! Simply throw them in your next load of laundry or hand wash them.
